Overview for APRIL 2012 Astrological Trends

The arrival of April 2012 brings with it three significant planetary shifts. The tone for April has electric sparkles and positive vibes to it. The last three months may have been irritating, annoying and sluggish, with things breaking down, serious mixed wires in communications, power and anger issues arising. For some the it was about serious cost cutting or being frugal with money or spending. For other people it may have been about adjusting life priorities. If you have been diligent in working with the themes and issues that the retrogrades were triggering, then you have by now lined up your ducks in a row. One by one this month over the course of four weeks you will take powerful confident action on putting things in motion. And hopefully each person has learned and become more aware of where one needs to let go of being a ‘victim’ and step into empowerment more.

First shift of energy is Mercury turns Direct at 24 degrees Pisces on April 4th, 2012. Thinking, communication and anything to do with commerce and short travel will begin to straighten out and pick up in pace. Take this shift in communications in stride, do not expect things to turn around fast and quick. April 16th/17th Mercury re-enters Aries and soon enough making contact to Uranus in Aries while making a tense aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. Here’s where the pace of communications and such go super sonic and a lot can be accomplished. There may be bumps and tension yet significant breakthroughs and lasting resolutions are possible from April 17th through the end of the month. Mark you calendars for April 15th through 27th is electric and buzzing with energy as well as big shifts and possible challenges may arise. We get the chance to put into practical application empowered communication and dive into new perceptions. Free your mind, suggests the Mercury/Uranus aspect. Be patient, look for unique solutions and most of all tap into “Think like a empowered Pioneer” -potential of Mercury in Aries.

Lets add in the Full Moon in Libra at 17 degrees on April 6th into the mix. The main theme here will be transforming discord in emotions into harmony. We may find that relationships are the testing ground or interactions in relationships bring significant insights. The energy is highly sensitive with this full moon and other major aspects building up now. The second energy shift that is worth looking at is that Mars turns Direct motion at 3 degrees Virgo on April 13th, 2012. Finally, we move from being in a sluggish funk into regaining our motivation and moving towards our newly placed goals. We can’t expect energy or vitality to move at mock speed – not yet. Mars/Neptune/Chiron aspect is happening and this represents we address our illusions and confusion about our motives, desires and such. We may find ourselves tangled in a situation or relationship where we have to see the details yet remain on the Soul level to view the more expanded view of what is really going on. You may even feel defeated or in a no win situation. The potential is to heal and unite the tug of war of opposites into harmony. Something or someone will be sacrificed for the sake of practicing self-love and honoring one’s Soul path.

What will aid us through this fuzzy fog is that Mars/Pluto also symbolically combine their efforts bringing with this a graceful positively resilient and ready to tackle anything energy. We can overcome it in a mature empowered way. We can get the details done with gusto and feel really accomplished. Use this earthy positive combination of energy between Mars/Pluto to plan, organize, get done, and make real your goals and ideas that have been in gestation and reworking while under the retrograde (introspective) phase.

And the third item that is worthy to take a closer look at is, on April 10th, Pluto goes Retrograde at 9 degrees Capricorn. Certainly we will feel intense powerful energy, especially those with Cardinal signs; Cancer, Capricorn, Libra and Aries. With Pluto shifting into a more subjective and introspective phase, we have a opportunity to review and reevaluate things or area of life where the symbolic or literal demolition is happening for the ultimate in re-modeling. This happens while the Uranus/Pluto Square is building momentum. Ouch. Can you say intensely transformative and awakening? Certainly powerful electric jolts may be felt or noticed as our lives, situations and bodies are activated.

We end the month with a steadfast New Moon in Taurus at 1 degree on April 21st, 2012. With our feet touching the earth, we are able to bring into manifested form the seed inspirations and ideas we have been given.
