The symbolic significance of Pluto in astrology, from my personal experience and perspective, is highly valuable. Life will never be the same after a Pluto transit to one of the personal planets or luminaries; Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.
Let’s start with this: Planets in Astrology do not “cause” anything, they symbolize what is happening in Consciousness and provide a sophisticated language to express. Therefore, even Pluto’s symbolism suggests the “death and rebirth” of whatever and where ever the personal planet is situated in the Natal Chart (and area of life it symbolizes).
Power is a key element with Pluto.
First, old ways and behaviors of power may feel as if it is being stripped away. A powerlessness. Then when the core it touched, the core of the issue or pattern, then healing or a transmutation takes place. Hopefully, you are willing. If not, it may feel even worse. So my suggestion is to be willing to delve into the smallest cavern for healing and to bring light (awareness) and love back into the space. The new “program” installed with a Pluto transit is being empowered and expressing authentic loving wise power from a Soul-level or higher wisdom perspective.
Personal planets in Astrology, are those that we tend to work with and express every day.
When Pluto’s transit touches any one of them, get your workout gear ready and start getting adjusted. Pluto transits are quite slow yet complete. There is a definite feeling of angst and the darkest clouds hang out until grief and any repressed or suppressed emotion, energy and thought-forms that are necessary are purged – totally. The day to day is where the trials take place. In each experience and each interaction, what was running in the background, becomes placed in the foreground.

Diving into Investigation of Self of Egoic Mind and Fears
Investigation of a new way of being, thinking, expressing and relating are also needed. Putting on the super sleuth hat and magnifying glass to examine up close what keeps you going in endless obsessive loops, addictive behaviors and unconscious drives or motives active. What hides under the fears, anxieties and dark rage or depression? How often does that become the coping mechanism to “survive” life instead of really living life to the fullest?
Being prepared to Let go
Remember, whether it is literal or symbolic… with a Pluto transit to one or more of the personal planets is about “letting go.” Whether that means death, dying, shedding, transformation, transmutation or an alchemical change…being prepared on how to let go and allow for the deepest yet most valuable change is essential. Many individuals resist and have never been taught on how to let go. When we look at everything as “energy” one form dies and another is born. Trust is another key component. Trust in the Divine, returning to the Divine to guide and support you is essential too.
When undergoing such a profound change, the new form may not be defined or understood from a human perspective. Therefore, a Spiritual foundation and daily practice is very important and will be a good starting point. Pluto’s transits are like coals to diamonds in a way. There is a Spiritual process that leads one back to their true nature as Soul/Essence that is a diamond light expressing in the physical world. Real genuine love and power are blended and the wisdom to wield it in the world. Pluto is often labeled in a negative way, yet this planet and its symbolism helps one on a evolutionary level to return to Essence and express one’s real potentials.
